Description
The Chevrolet Camaro was an exceptional car with a modern and unique design from 1967. In 1968, Jack Heuer named the new Heuer Chronograph line "Camaro" to create the connection with the legendary automobile and thus strengthen the company position on the US watch market. Also the Camaro wristwatch with its cushion-shaped case has an extravagant design.

The Camaro exists in many different versions. Here we have the reference 7220NT (Noir Tachymeter), with tachymeter scale and three subdials. The legendary Valjoux 72 manual movement runs the chronograph. The stainless steel case with brushed finish on top has a condition the watch collectors are sought after: unpolished with some natural wear marks. The reference and serial number are clearly readable between the lugs. We love the evenly distributed white color inside the Camaro. White hands in subdials, white chrono hand and hour indices with white inserts in combination with the beautiful matt black dial cause an elegant and harmonious look. Every single lume dot on the outer edge of the hour indices is intact and 100% original. The creamy lume in hands still shines under UV light. The original dial is in perfect condition. The reference 7220NT is the rarest version of all Camaros.

All in one: a rare watch with remarkable history, extraordinary design and almost nonreplacable condition.
