Eberhard Monopusher Chronograph Big Size

beautiful patina - cool vintage look - 40mm

Description
This beautiful Eberhard Monopusher Chronograph is from the 1940s and impresses with its unique mechanics and pure vintage look. The dial has remained untouched over the years and shows a naturally aged surface with great patina.

Eberhard was founded in 1887. The Swiss watch manufacturer developed its first wristwatch in 1919. Thus, Eberhard is one of the first manufacturers who made a watch for the wrist.

Eberhard has designed some beautiful and desirable chronographs that have a lot to offer both aesthetically and technically. The watch offered here is a strong proof of that. The chronograph owes its name to Monopusher's Caliber 16000 movement. The chronograph functions (start, stop and reset) is activated exclusively by the upper pusher. What appears to be a lower pusher is in fact a slider that locks the upper chronograph pusher when not in use.

The overall condition of this Eberhard is very good. The dial has natural signs of aging, but has been never touched during an overhaul. Natural patina gives this watch an honest and authentic character. The hands are dark blue and change their color in different light angles. The stainless steel case measures 40mm. Back in 40s such a large diameter was rather unusual for wristwatches, but today this watch is a sought-after specimen because of this very characteristic. The movement 16000 runs flawlessly and very accurately. Considering that the watch is over 75 years old, it is even more amazing how precise the watchmakers of Eberhard already worked back then.

Beautiful aesthetics, large diameter and unique mechanics make this watch an interesting collector's item and a wonderful vintage daily watch.
