Universal Genève Compax 22705-1

rare model with Valjoux 72

Description
Universal Genève chronographs rank among the most popular watches in the vintage watch market. They show consistently high results at important auctions and private sales. Here we have a special and beautiful example for a Compax reference 22705-1. The inside of this classic watch is characterized by the simplicity and elegance of the brushed silver dial with baton markers and blue tachymeter scale. The large Dauphine hands and three sub-dials ensure an exemplary legibility of the chronograph, powered by caliber 130 of UG (Valjoux 72). The dial and the case are in mint condition. The case edges are sharp. Note there are three scratches on the bottom of the case (see pictures). The engravings of the reference and serial number on the screw-down caseback confirm that the case remains unpolished. The Compax is a beautiful classic chronograph - a must-have of every watch collector.
