Founded in 1858 Vulcain was the inventor of the alarm complication for wristwatches. After the President of the United States Harry S. Truman was wearing watches from this brand, it was called „the watch for Presidents“. American heads of state Dwight Eisenhower, Richard Nixon and Lyndon Johnson wore a Vulcain on their wrist as well. But Vulcain watches also appealed to explorers and adventurers, due to the technical qualities of these watches. A physicist and mathematician, who studied the decompression phenomenon that allows longer and deeper dives, invented and built the Vulcain Cricket-Nautical. His name is Hannes Keller. While the first Cricket-Nautical was tested in 1961, the second execution which is offered here, was launched in 1969.

The watch offered here was hardly worn and the overall condition is mint. The coolest part of this diver watch is the outstanding dial.
The dial is in excellent condition and a real stunner due to the funky decompression table in orange. The bulky case is in perfect condition with two slight dents at 9 o’clock. The case is unpolished and shows sharp edges. The 100% original tritium lime is totally present in the hands, dots and decompression table and shines beautifully under UV light. The watch is powered by the manual-wound caliber Vulcain S2 with alarm. The watch comes with a cool black Tropic strap that fits perfectly to the design of this watch.

This Vulcain dive watch is in excellent condition and therefore it is hard to find a second piece like this. The outstanding design of this model makes it the coolest dive watch on the market. Hence it is very sought after by watch collectors all over the world.
