Complicated movement? Bombastic design? Great history? This watch has it all. The Universal Genève Tri-Compax 881101/02 or "Evil Clapton" is the counterpart of the legendary "Eric Clapton" Panda dial Tri-Compax named after the famous guitarist. The range of complications packed into this watch is shocking: full calendar, moonphase, chronograph, weekday, month. The reverse panda dial with all these features still appears legible, organized and aesthetic.

Our Evil is a rare reference with the red chrono hand and red weekday and month. The black dial is in mint condition and not repainted. "Swiss T" is signed on the dial. Original lume dots are evenly darkened and intakt. The bezel is absolutely mint. Crown is signed with UG logo. The beautiful case with twisted lugs is light polished. Reference and serial number are not visible on the caseback. Still the case is in great condition with sharp edges (see pictures). The original calibre 281 by Universal Genève has been checked by our expert. All functions and complications work flawless, keeping good time. The watch is honest, all-original and in a very good overall condition. Just the very sight at this masterpiece makes it quite clear why Universal Genève has become so sought after over the past few years.

Interesting info about Tri-Compax model: President Truman wore a 18k yellow gold Universal Genève Tri-Compax at the Potsdam Conference in 1945.
