Rolex Datejust 1601 - Wide Boy

timeless design - mint case and dial - original papers

The first Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust was born in 1945. The date display, which automatically changed at midnight, was considered revolutionary in the world of watch engineering. Then, as now the Datejust enjoys great popularity.

The model offered here is also called "Wide Boy" due to it's wider hour markers and hands. The well-preserved condition of this 1974 edition is impressive. The brushed silver dial is absolutely flawless. The original lume dots are completely present and have a beautiful creamy tone. The Oyster case has sharp edges and seems to be unpolished. The original white gold bezel has been preserved in very good condition. The watch is accompanied by the original Rolex Jubilee bracelet. The original punched papers make this watch really collectable.
