The black Tachy dial in combination with the unpolished case makes this Heuer Carrera 3647 NT an absolute rarity.
Yes, this Carrera also has an unpolished case and is in excellent condition. The case form of the Carrera was designed by a case maker Piquerez and showed a clear difference from the Heuer chronographs of the 1940s. When Jack Heuer saw the case for the first time, it was clear to him - this will be the home of the new Carrera. So the Carreras were housed in this case since their birth in 1963. But already in 1969, the automatic Carreras came with a new design on the market. Thus, the case of the manual winding Carrera was produced in a relatively short period of ca. 7 years.
The reference 3647NT with two sub registers and tachymeter scale offered here has a beautiful matte black dial. The white elements, such as the chronograph hand and the tachymeter scale, give the watch its calm charisma. This Carrera suits every outfit and with its 36mm diameter it looks sporty and at the same time elegant on the wrist. This reference is powered by the robust manual Valjoux 92 chronograph movement. The Valjoux 92 is a derivation of the Valjoux 72 with similar architecture, just without hour chrono counter.
The 3647NT with black dial and tachymeter scale is one of the rarest Valjoux 92 Carreras.
