This is an extremely rare Rolex Daytona 6241 "Jumbo Logo" in 14k yellow gold with black dial and gold everose sub dials. A maximum of 400 pieces in 14k yellow gold have been produced, which were all reserved for the North American market.
This particular Daytona dates to 1969 as indicated by the serial number. The name "Jumbo Logo" (or "Large Logo") bears a peculiarity which makes this watch even rarer. The "DAYTONA" signature on the dial is abnormally and unmistakably large compared to most other 6241-s. For experienced vintage collectors this dial is much rarer than the exotic "Paul Newman" dial, also known as the "John Player Special", which reaches record prices of over €700,000 today.
The overall condition of this Rolex Daytona 6241 is just perfect. The immaculate black dial with gold everose sub-registers and golden writing creates a magnificent harmony. The perfect black acrylic bezel features a white tachymeter scale and the strongly defined case shows clean lines and curves. The movement is the Valjoux 722 and runs flawlessly in all functions. The golden Rolex Oyster bracelet is in excellent condition.
We are very proud to offer this impressive vintage Rolex Daytona 6241. The rarity and perfectly preserved condition make this watch a trophy for insightful Rolex collectors.
