The Rolex GMT-Master 1675/8 Nipple Dial is the 18k gold version of the legendary and popular pilot's watch from Rolex. Also called "Root Beer" or "Eye of the Tiger", this watch has a very high recognition factor. The history of the reference 1675 in stainless steel began in 1959/60. From about 1975, Rolex also produced the GMT Master in 18k gold, with the reference number extended by "/8". Due to the similarity in colors to the popular soda, the golden Rolex GMT-Master 1675/8 is also called "Root Beer". The name "Eye of the Tiger" is also known, based on the resemblance to the stone Tiger's Eye.

The yellow gold case is in great condition and shows sharp edges. The dial color has evolved over the years from brown to a beautiful purple-brown. The hour markers are gold bordered and raised, hence the nickname "Nipple Dial". The condition of the dial is excellent. The 24-hour GMT bezel, which was originally brown, has changed to a light pink-brown color that harmonizes nicely with the color of the dial. The combination of dial and bezel colors makes this watch very special and accentuates its beauty. The tritium luminescent material in hands and hour markers is fully intact and has a smooth, creamy color. The watch is powered by the automatic movement caliber 1575, which was installed in the GMT models from 1965 to 1980.

The wearer of the golden Rolex GMT-Master 1675/8 undoubtedly has class and a tasteful style. From a collector's point of view, this particular GMT is due to its great overall condition a rare find and much sought-after by Rolex enthusiasts and vintage watch aficionados.
