SoldThe merger of Zenith and Movado at the end of the 1960s led to an exchange of the caliber of the two watch manufacturers. That's why the Movado Super Sub Sea is powered by the famed Zenith 146-HP (originally Martel). This caliber was the last manual wind movement by Zenith-Movado after the introduction of the automatic El Primero.
This particular Movado Super Sub Sea is in excellent overall condition. The case has bevelled edges and thick lugs. A real eye-catcher is the favored reverse panda dial, which is in perfect condition. The white tachymeter scale gives the watch a cool sporty look. Evenly aged tritium lume has a dark green tone in the hour markers and hands. "SWISS T" inscription is at 6 o'clock. The white chronograph second paddle hand has a small hole in the tritium lume, which is barely visible. The crown and screw-down case back are signed with the Movado logo. The rotating bezel is slightly faded and has a dark gray color. The pearl at 12 o'clock is intact.
And last but not least, this Movado Super Sub Sea is accompanied by a rare accessory - Gay Frères ladder bracelet. These vintage bracelets are simply cult and a real rarity if in good condition, like with this particular watch. It has the correct "ZF" end links. The clasp is signed "ZENITH" and engraved inside with "1/70" (1st quarter 1970). The extension link of the bracelet is signed "pat. pend" (patent pending).
