The Longines reference 6474 is a Flyback Chronograph the late 1950s. This is the most wanted version of the legendary Longines chonograph: large 39mm diameter case, stepped bezel, movement caliber 30CH.

Longines was one of the most renowned manufacturers of high-quality chronographs in the 19th and early 20th centuries. In addition, Longines is one of the few companies that have produced both watches and movements. This particular Longines Chronograph 6474 is a beautiful and proud representative of the company's golden era.

An absolute highlight of this watch is the balanced dial, which has a wonderful patina. The Arabic numerals and hands are filled with original radium lume material. The dial has few slight signs of aging. The hands have a metallic blue border, which is wonderful to see under certain perspectives. The stainless steel case has a diameter of 39mm. The bezel has a stepped shape and looks very elegant in combination with the large case.

In addition to the attractive appearance, the watch also convinces technically. The coveted and sought-after chronograph movement 30CH has a flyback complication: the chronograph can be reset and restarted immediately with the lower pusher. The caliber 30CH is not for nothing known in many sources as one of the best chronograph movements of all time.

Another highlight of this offer is the JB Champion bracelet. This is a rare and high quality stainless steel bracelet from the early years. With the Longines Chronograph it's a perfect vintage combo. The bracelet is very light and nice to wear.

The watch is accompanied by an extract from the Longines Archive of May 23, 2018. According to the archive, the watch was handed over to Longines-Wittnauer Watch Co. on April 14, 1960. It was the official Longines agent in the US.
