The watch dates from the 1950s and has a highly complicated movement of caliber Valjoux 88. The beautiful patina on the dial gives the watch a real vintage look.

The movement of the Tourneau Datofix 4356 is the Valjoux 88. It is based on the caliber Valjoux 72C, which can be found amongst others in vintage Rolex watches with a triple calendar, but without the moon phase. Valjoux 88 is the most complex version of the Valjoux 72C. It is additionally equipped with a moon phase complication. And all that mechanically - simply breathtaking ...

In the two windows at 12 o'clock the day and the month are displayed. A separate central hand is responsible for the date display. The moon phase sub dial is at 6 o'clock. Day and month are set with a button at 10 o'clock. The date and the moon phase can be corrected with the button at 8:30 o'clock. The day and date change automatically at midnight. The subdial at 9 o'clock shows the separate second. The sub-dial at 3 o'clock shows the 30-minute counter of the chronograph. The 12-hour-totalizer is arranged in the sub-dial with the moon phase. All functions have been checked and run smoothly.

This Tourneau has a great overall condition, especially considering that this watch is over 60 years old. The stainless steel case has been very well preserved and looks authentic. The silver dial shows a beautiful patina. The luminous material in the hour markers and hands has been restored in the past and has a warm creamy hue. The sheer beauty of the dial appears when you hold it in the sunlight. The blue color of the moon phase is in perfect contrast to the silver dial color. The watch comes with a steel bracelet.
