Accompanied by a full set with box, papers and other accessories, this watch is a coveted and valuable collector's item not only for Patek lovers. The reference 3940 is no longer in production.

This particular example is from 1992. Before 1992, the reference 3940 had a massive yellow gold case back. Thus, this specimen is one of the first with a sapphire case back. The case is made of massive 18k yellow gold. It has been preserved in excellent condition without any scratches and has a very elegant shape.

The dial layout is an absolute masterpiece by Patek Philippe. Despite the many informations on the dial, it remains perfectly balanced and easy to read. The dial has a white surface, golden hour and second markers. The month display and the indicator for the leap years is at 3 o'clock. The moon phase with the date display is at 6 o'clock and the weekday with the 24-hour display at 9 o'clock. The dial is in a mint and flawless condition.

The technical brilliance is ensured by the caliber 240Q of Patek Philippe. The movement with the complication "Perpetual Calendar" automatically takes into account short months and leap years. A technically and visually wonderful movement. Behind the sapphire crystal back, you can marvel at the beauty of this complicated movement. In addition, the original case back in yellow gold is included in the offer.
