The official name of this beautiful vintage watch is Universal Genève Compax Ref. 885103/02. The insiders call her "Nina Rindt". Nina was the wife of the famous racing driver Jochen Rindt. She was seen multiple times wearing this chronograph on her wrist (see pictures).

This particular example from 1965 is the early MK1 version with an applied metal UG logo on the dial. The condition of this watch is unique even for us as a longtime UG collector and astonishes every vintage lover. The reference and serial numbers are still deeply engraved and clearly legible on the case back. This fact proves that the stainless-steel case was never polished. The beautiful panda dial has been preserved in mint condition. Tritium lume is original and still intact in the hands and hour markers. Black bakelite bezel has been kept in pristine condition. The winding crown and the original acrylic crystal show the UG logo.

This Nina Rindt is accompanied by a black leather strap. On the inside of the bracelet, the stamp of the manufacturer "Universal Genève" is still visible. This is quite impressive, since those leather stamps disappear when the watch is worn regularly. Therefore, this watch must have been just a few times on the wrist.

Powered by the legendary manual wind movement Valjoux 72, this specimen works properly and accurately.
