What a beauty this wristwatch is. The Universal Genève Tri-Compax fascinates with its exotic dial and the numerous complications on it. It's rare vintage watch with a WOW effect.

In 1944, Universal Genève presented this exotic model for the first time. The name Tri-Compax comes from the three complications this watch offers: full calendar, moon phase and chronograph.

The design of the Tri-Compax is an absolute masterpiece. Not only placing all the informations on a 36mm dial, but also maintaining legibility is a very challenging task that has been mastered by Universal Genève with the utmost brilliance.

This particular Tri-Compax comes from the late 60s and has the reference 881101/03. The last two digits indicate the exotic and unusual dial which is offered here. The many colors and the balanced layout lead to a striking appearance. The sub-dials show a slight patina. The black surface is immaculate. The luminous material in the hour markers and hands is original and intact. The black tachymeter bezel is in excellent condition as well. The original Plexiglas bears the logo of Universal Genève in the middle.

The stainless steel case still has the original engravings of the serial and reference numbers on the case back. But that's not all: even the wording "STAINLESS STEEL" is still visible. This is a very rare characteristic of UG watches. Why? Because this inscription was originally engraved very slightly and therefore rubs off and disappears after a relatively short time on the wrist. This tells us that this watch has probably never been polished and has been worn very rarely.

The movement is the manual wind calibre 281 by Universal Genève. All complications work properly.

This Tri-Compax is accompanied by a beautiful leather strap and a JB Champion vintage stainless steel bracelet. Without the stainless steel bracelet, the watch costs €500.00 less.

The great overall condition of this Tri-Compax makes this specimen even rarer and more valuable. All in all, this Universal Genève Tri-Compax is a vintage trophy even for a discerning collector.
