This Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 "Rail Dial" with original box and papers is a rare example of a historic and legendary watch. The Mark II of the reference 1665 is called "Rail Dial" because the gaps between the "Superlative Chronometer" and "Officially Certified" line up as straight as train tracks. All earlier and later versions of the Sea-Dweller don't have this characteristic.

This particular Rolex Sea-Dweller reference 1665 from 1979 is a true collectors dream providing original papers and original box. The country code 430 and the original stamp on the warranty certificate tell us that this example was produced for the Singapore market and sold there in June 1980. The watch is in excellent overall condition. The Oyster case houses the MK2 "Rail Dial" with a beautiful, creamy patina. The original Rolex 1570 movement runs flawlessly. The matching 93150/585 Oyster bracelet in very good condition completes the offer in the best manner.

The rarity of this dial, the original papers and the excellent condition make this Sea-Dweller an ultimate vintage collector's watch.
