The Rolex Submariner 5513 is the epitome of the classic diver's watch. The reference 5513 was produced between 1962 and 1989. And here we offer you a late "Transitional" example from the year 1988. This is the last Submariner with an acrylic crystal.

The Submariner was equipped with the sapphire crystal since 1984. However, Rolex still had old acrylic crystals in stock. Thus, some examples of the Submariner 5513 were fitted with the acrylic crystal, giving the watch the beautiful vintage character. This particular watch has the old domed acrylic crystal and at the same time the newly designed hour markers with white gold surrounds.

In addition, this Submariner has the newly developed glossy dial, which was also introduced in the transitional phase. The black surface has been preserved without any imperfection. A special feature of the dial is the beautiful patina in the tritium-lume, which gives the watch a real vintage look.

The stainless steel case has sharp edges and a thick profile. The Oyster bracelet has few natural signs of wear and minimal stretch. The bracelet reference 93150, the reference of end pieces 580 and the code in the clasp O1 match the year of manufacture of the watch. The automatic movement of the calibre 1520 works perfectly keeping very good time.
