Omega Seamaster 145.029

blue radial dial - tonneau shaped case

Description
The Omega Seamaster 145.029 is a vintage chronograph with a beautiful light blue dial, orange hands and a tonneau-shaped case. This harmonious wristwatch dates back to 1970 and has been preserved in an excellent overall condition.

The chronograph is powered by the famous in-house Omega caliber 861. This manual wind movement was also the driving force of the legendary Omega Speedmaster. All functions of the present watch have been checked and run smoothly.

The blue dial shows no quirks. The hands for showing the time are orange. The chronograph hands are white. The tritium plots on the hour markers are absolutely untouched and show a lightly faded orange color. The white tachymeter ring and the subtle white lettering on the blue surface provide a harmonious overall appearance of the watch.

The original acrylic crystal is signed with the Omega logo. That small but important feature once again underlines the originality of this watch, as most examples have a service crystal without the logo on it. Or the logo has been polished away over the years.

The tonneau-shaped stainless steel case has a diameter of 40mm and still shows sharp edges and a thick profile. The winding crown is signed with the Omega logo. On the screwed caseback you can see the emblem of the seahorse, which was introduced in 1958 as a symbol of waterproofness.

Another highlight of this offer is the original Omega stainless steel bracelet. Most specimen of the Seamaster 145.029 are offered with a leather strap. The original stainless steel bracelets from the 70's are in great demand and difficult to find especially in good condition. The present bracelet has really been very well preserved and has only a minimal stretching.

Given the excellent condition and the attractive dial the present wristwatch is a great opportunity for the collector of fine vintage timepieces.
