Omega Seamaster 300 2913-3

Omega Seamaster 300 2913-3 is the legendary diver's watch introduced in 1957. This professional diver's watch was developed for adventure on land and in the ocean. The Seamaster is the oldest Omega watch model still in production today and is one of the most important watches of the twentieth century.

This particular Omega Seamaster 300 is an original example from 1958. The watch has a beautifully patinated dial and a dark radium lume providing a distinctive vintage look. The black dial surface looks like old leather. The natural patina will astonish every vintage lover, especially when looking at the dial with a magnifying glass.

Another striking feature of this Omega is the hand set. The hour hand has a large triangular tip, the lollipop hand displays the seconds and a dauphine hand indicates the minutes. The Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock provide excellent readability of the dial.

Until 1963 radium was used as lume material in the wristwatches. After 1963 Radium became illegal forcing watchmakers switch to tritium. The present Omega Seamaster 300 dates back to 1958 and therefore must have radium lume on the dial. We made a test with the Geiger counter which detected radium material on the dial proving the originality of the lume in the hour markers and hands.

The bezel is rotatable in both directions and shows minute marks. The black bakelite insert is genuine but it has been restored and is looking great. The condition of the stainless steel case is also great showing only few signs of wear. The winding crown is signed with the Omega logo. This watch is powered by the automatic caliber 501, whose perfect functionality is guaranteed by us. That in-house Omega movement is known for its reliability and robustness.
