Heuer Carrera 2447 T

Fab. Suisse dial - red tachymeter scale - perfect case

Fixed price offer

The very first Heuer Carrera was introduced in the early 1960s. The new chronograph was characterized by a clear and modern dial design. The watch was powered by the reliable manual winding caliber Valjoux 72. In 1969 Heuer released the automatic Carrera, which featured the calibre 11 und a new case design. The manual wind Carreras were discontinued after less than 8 years. Today the first generation Carrera symbolizes the classic chronograph of the twentieth century and is now very popular among watch collectors.

And here we offer you an original specimen from 1965 with a clean silver dial. It has a red tachymeter scale and three sub registers. The luminous material in the hands and hour markers is still original and intact.

The dial features a pretty rare wording "Fab. Suisse". The reason for this signing was a French law on the products that were imported to France. These products were not allowed to create the impression that they have been made in France. For this reason, some Swiss watches carry the inscription "Fab. Suisse" on the dial to illustrate the origin of the watch.

The stainless steel case of this wristwatch has been superbly preserved and has hardly any signs of usage. The serial number is clearly legible between the lugs. The coveted and reliable manual wind movement Valjoux 72 ensures perfect operation and accurate timekeeping. Chronograph starts, stops and resets perfectly.

The first generation Heuer Carrera is one of the classics of every vintage collection. The modern models of TAG Heuer watches are inspired by this vintage wristwatch.
