Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso

iconic model - elegant watch

Description
This is an old Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso from the 40s. Thanks to its ingenious rotating case, the Reverso is one of the most popular models in the watch industry.

The origin of this wristwatch goes back to the sport of polo in the early 1930s. A group of British players asked for a watch that could be worn during the games and survive the brutality of this dynamic sport. So, Jaeger LeCoultre got the order to make a robust wristwatch. The French engineer René-Alfred Chauvot developed the legendary Reverso case, which can be turned around. On this way the dial and the glass could be protected. At that time, the unusual design of the Reverso was a sensation and today it's the trademark of the manufactory. To this day, Jaeger LeCoultre produces this model, whereby the vintage models are the true ambassadors of the long tradition.

Here we offer you an old vintage version with a very aesthetic black glossy dial. The golden hour markers and simple hands give this watch an elegant look. The number 12 is written in gold. At 6 o'clock you can see the small second subdial.

The watch is preserved in great overall condition. The dial has no quirks. The rectangular stainless steel case measures 23x38mm and has been very well preserved. The engraving of the serial number on the caseback is still crisp and clearly legible. The Reverso is operated by a manual wind movement. The watch runs perfectly keeping very good time.

This vintage Jaeger LeCoultre Reverso is a very aesthetic and elegant watch with a long history.
