Description
Ferdinand Alexander Porsche is the progenitor of the legendary Porsche 911 and the founder of Porsche Design. In 1980 IWC and Porsche Design started to develop the special diver's watch IWC Ocean. The model range included the Ocean 2000 and a smaller Ocean 500. The Ocean 2000 also existed as a military version, which was developed on behalf of the West German federal navy. Here we offer a civilian version of the Ocean 2000 along with its original full set.

The development of the IWC Ocean was distinguished by top-quality materials and the high-quality workmanship. Porsche Design has pioneered the use of titanium in the manufacture of watches. Thus, the case and bracelet of this IWC Ocean 2000 is made of titanium, which is very kind to the skin, light and corrosion-resistant. The model name "2000" stands for the water depth of 2000m, in which this watch is still waterproof.

The bezel of the Ocean 2000 can be rotated only in one direction. This is a safety mechanism to prevent accidental underwater rotation. The winding crown is screwed and has a date quickset mechanism. The automatic IWC 37521 caliber precision movement works perfectly and provides very accurate good time keeping.

This IWC Ocean 2000 is in a great overall condition. The case and the bracelet have minimal signs of wear. The serial number is still legible on the case back. The black dial has been preserved perfectly. The luminous material is original and untouched.

Last but not least, this watch comes in a full set consisting of two boxes, the original receipt and further accessories. The watch was bought on October 21, 1991 in Hanau, Germany. The original IWC warranty card is available.
