The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak was developed in the early 1970s and today this model is the epitome of the luxury sports watch. The design of this timepiece comes from the famous designer Gerald Genta, who also created the Patek Philippe Nautilus. The Royal Oak Reference 5402 is also referred to as "Jumbo". The name is due to the diameter of the watch (39mm), which was considered in the 1970s as above average size.

This particular Royal Oak 5402 is a D-series. The design of this wristwatch is very harmonious and balanced. The beautiful tapisserie dial is absolutely flawless and has a deep gray color. The light reflections from different angles make this dial and this watch special. The dial has a date display at 3 o'clock and luminous hands and indexes in white gold.
