This 1971 Rolex Submariner 1680/8 literally blows one away. The original blue dial of this watch turned to a magical purple hue. In the collector’s circles, this dial is also called "Tropical Purple". This is a wristwatch with unmistakable unique character.

The yellow gold case of this Submariner has been greatly preserved and shows sharp edges. The engravings of the numbers between the lugs are clearly legible. The heart of the watch is the automatic caliber 1570, which runs flawlessly in all functions.

Another highlight is the golden bracelet, which was originally with that watch. This fact is proven not only by the date stamp in the clasp (1/71), but also by the engraving of the serial number in the clasp, which was often done by the selling concessionaire. The condition of the bracelet matches the watch perfectly with minimal signs of wear, which are not worth mentioning.

Given the superior condition of the watch, its rarity and the extremely attractive and unusual tropical purple dial, the present piece is an unmissable opportunity for the collector of fine and important timepieces.
