Here we offer you the early version of the Rolex GMT Master 16750 from 1981 with a matt dial.

Reference 16570 was introduced in 1981 as the successor to reference 1675. With the 16750, Rolex introduced a quickset date mechanism for the first time. For this reason, the order of the hands had to be changed from GMT/hour/minute/second to hour/GMT/minute/second. The reference 16750 was produced between 1981 and 1988 and there were two different series. Like the previous reference 1675, the early series had a matt dial with classic (not bordered) luminous markers. Later models had a glossy dial with hour markers framed in white gold. It is known that many matte dials have been replaced with glossy dials during a service. For this reason, the reference 16750 with a matt dial is quite rare, especially if you are looking for a well-preserved condition.

This particular GMT Master dates back to 1981 and is one of the first versions of the reference 16750. A great overall condition makes this watch a great collector's item. Despite the old age, the black matt dial has no flaws. The luminous material is original and has a pleasant vanilla color. The rotating Pepsi bezel is slightly faded and has no scratches. The Oyster case is also very well preserved and has only a few natural signs of wear.

This GMT Master is powered by the Rolex automatic caliber 3075, which keeps time very accurately. The watch is accompanied by an Oyster steel bracelet with the reference 93150 and end links 580. The code in the clasp is VD, which dates from 1979.
