Heuer Bundeswehr 1550 SG

military chronograph of the German Bundeswehr - mint condition

Description
The Heuer Bundeswehr or Heuer Bund is a military chronograph that Heuer developed for Bundeswehr soldiers in 1967.

The Heuer Bund is one of the most famous military watches in the world. An impressive appearance and helpful features make this model so popular with collectors. The chronograph also impresses with its excellent readability and ease of use. A large 42mm case and a all black dial give this watch a killer look.

This particular Heuer Bund is the Reference 1550 SG with a rare 3H dial. Inside the red circle at 6 o'clock you will find the inscription "3H" and a small red dot in the middle. This indicates the use of tritium for the luminous markers and hands.

The condition of this specimen makes this Heuer Bund very special and attractive for collectors. The case has hardly any signs of wear. The dial is in mint condition. The bezel has no scratches. The Bundeswehr supply number on the caseback is still deeply engraved. There is even an original Heuer-Bund leather strap.

This Heuer Bund is driven by the Valjoux 230 manual wind movement and has a flyback function. The "normal" chronograph must be stopped, reset and started. In that way you lose a few seconds. The flyback complication allows the chronograph to be restarted immediately by pressing the lower pusher. In addition, the Heuer Bund offers a helpful hacking seconds feature. If you pull out the winding crown to set the time, the second hand will stop. This means that the time can be set to the exact second. All functions have been checked and run perfectly.

Overall, this Heuer Bundeswehr is a reliable vintage military chronograph with a great history and a highly attractive look.
