Rarity, aesthetics and mint condition. This Vacheron Constantin Turnograph 6782 is a truly exceptional vintage timepiece from 1964. Less than 100 examples of this reference have been made. Even fewer have survived to this day, especially in good condition. And this specimen is preserved in mint or "like NOS" condition.
This Vacheron Constantin 6782 has a 18ct yellow gold case and an elegant silver dial. The rotating bezel with a red triangle at 12 o'clock and Arabic numerals in the quarters ensures a sporty character. For Vacheron Constantin watches, which are known for their elegance, it is an unusual feature. The reference 6782 was the very first sports watch manufactured by Vacheron and therefore takes a special place in the history of the manufactory.
The brushed silver dial features golden hour markers and elegant gold thin hands. The date window with a magnifying glass is at 3 o'clock. The dial is untouched and absolutely flawless. The case is certainly unpolished and very sharp. "Like NOS" condition fits pretty well on this watch. The automatic caliber 1072 is protected by the screwed caseback. Vacheron Constantin's in-house movement was checked and runs flawlessly.
Due to the perfect hybrid of a sports watch and a dress watch, the Turnograph is so sought after and attractive to collectors. The fact that today fewer than 100 examples exist and the excellent condition make this particular Turnograph much more than just a wristwatch.
