Heuer Autavia 1163 Jo Siffert MK6

iconic vintage watch - Gay-Frères bracelet - perfect condition

This HEUER Autavia 1163 is a racing chronograph from the early 1970s. There were different dial configurations of the reference 1163, but only the version with a panda dial and date at 6 o'clock is called "Siffert Autavia". This vintage watch owes its nickname to its famous wearer, namely Formula 1 world champion Jo Siffert.

This watch features the last MK6 dial with blue inserts and blue tips in the hands and the hour recorder marked 1-through-12. The dial of this watch is wonderfully preserved and has no imperfections or scratches. The tritium in the hands and hour markers is original and has a beautiful patina. The stainless steel case is also excellently preserved and has sharp lugs. The black tachymeter bezel has no significant scratches and is very well preserved. The beautiful overall condition makes this vintage watch a really rare find.

The movement of this chronograph is the HEUER automatic caliber 12 - the successor to the legendary caliber 11. All functions, including the chronograph, have been checked and run perfectly. The chronograph is accompanied by a beautiful vintage beads-of-rice Gay Frères bracelet with 4/71 in the clasp and HLF end links.

This HEUER Siffert is a proud representative of the golden motorsport era of the 1970s. The attractive appearance and the great condition ensure a high collector's value of this vintage chronograph.
