Thanks to the shape of the case and the design of the dial, the Heuer Cortina differs from the better-known Heuer models Autavia, Carrera or Monaco. Named after the Italian city named Cortina d'Ampezzo, this Heuer model was produced in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Here you can see the reference 110233 NC with a black dial.
The specialty of the Heuer Cortina is undoubtedly the hexagonal shape of the case. The case of the present example has remained in an unpolished condition. This is supported by the sharp edges of the case and the deeply engraved numbers on the case back. The original radial finish on the case has also been preserved intact to this day.
The black dial with two sub-dials and the date window at 6 o'clock gives the watch a certain killer look. The long luminous indexes contain original, not re-painted tritium and have a warm, creamy color. The hand set is also original and resembles the old Heuer style of the 1960s. The dial is immaculately preserved and has no flaws, spots or the like.
Another highlight of this vintage watch is the integrated stainless steel bracelet, which was produced exclusively for the Heuer Cortina and has a beautiful design. The clasp is signed with the Heuer logo.
The Heuer Cortina is powered by the automatic caliber 12, which is in perfect working order.
