The Rolex Daytona is in production since the 1960s and is now considered the mother of all chronographs. Reference 116523 was released in 2000 as part of the new generation line of the Daytona. Powered by the in-house automatic caliber 4130, it was the first Daytona with a Rolex chronograph movement. While the stainless steel Daytona was the most popular version for a long time, the rarer two-tone Daytona is enjoying more and more attention from collectors.

This particular Rolex Daytona has a gray slate dial, which is one of the rarest dial configurations of this reference. The large hour markers are outlined in gold. The small second sub dial is positioned at 6 o'clock. The minute counter is at 3 o'clock and the 12-hour totalizer at 9 o'clock. The dial is protected by the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.

The case of this Daytona is made of stainless steel in combination with the finest 750 yellow gold. The case is waterproof and has a diameter of 40mm. The winding crown and the chrono pushers are screwed. Golden tachymeter bezel is used to read the speed.

The Daytona is accompanied by the beautiful two-tone Oyster bracelet, which is in excellent condition to match the watch. The bracelet is complete with all links being existent. The folding clasp with a secure Oyster lock features a helpful quick extension.
