Edox Geoscope World-Timer - Box

box and hangtag - 24-hour-display - mint condition

Description
The Edox Geoscope is a world timer from the 1970s with a map of the world on the dial and a rotating 24-hour inner bezel. The watch offered here is the only known specimen with the original box and original hangtag.

The renowned Swiss manufacturer Edox presented the Geoscope in the early 1970s. The large 42mm case consists of one piece stainless steel, which is why it is referred to as a monoblock case. The design created by E. Piquerez SA shows the characteristic double crowns on the left. The crown at 10 o'clock is used to wind the watch and the crown at 8 o'clock is for turning the inner 24-hour bezel.

The beautiful dial has a colorful map of the world that makes one rotation per day. Together with the 24-hour bezel, the time can be read in other time zones around the world. The little gold star symbolizes the sun and shows where in the world the sun is currently at its highest.

A special thing about this watch is the almost new condition and the extremely rare original accessories. The white inner ring directly under the mineral glass is no longer intact in many examples and the printed numbers are worn off. The print on this watch is clearly legible and intact. The stainless steel case is unpolished and has sharp edges. The engravings on the bottom look like new. The movement of this Edox Geoscope is the ETA2774 caliber.

It's a lot of fun to wear this striking Edox Geoscope on your wrist - a super-cool and collectable vintage watch.
