This is a manual-wind Carrera from the 1960s with a black dial and Valjoux 92 movement.
The manual Carreras were produced in the short period between 1963 and 1969. In 1969 they were replaced by the automatic Carrera. Until 1969, the reliable Valjoux movements were the hearts of the Carreras.
The Carrera case has an elegant shape and it's unpolished with that particular watch. Few signs of wear make the watch very honest and authentic. This model is called Carrera 45 because of the 45-minute counter at 3 o'clock. The small running second sub dial is at 9 o'clock. The elegant case shape, the simple hands and the clean dial give this watch its special look. The dial shows the words "T-SWISS" at 6 o'clock, which is a reference to the luminous material tritium. The tritium is original and intact in all elements.
This watch has an early serial number 66xxx which is engraved between the lugs. Early Carreras had unsigned crowns. A winding crown signed with the Heuer logo would be an indication of a service part.
Powered by the reliable Valjoux caliber 92, the chronograph provides precise timekeeping and works perfectly.
This Heuer Carrera 3647 is a rare vintage watch that has been preserved in excellent condition and is waiting for its next proud owner.
