This Heuer Carrera 3647 NT is a classic racing chronograph from the 1960s. The wristwatch has a black dial with a tachymeter scale and is powered by a Valjoux movement.
The rarity of the manual-wound Carrera is obvious: this model was produced in a short period between 1963 and 1969 before it was replaced by the automatic Carrera in 1969. Back then it was a tool watch and not primarily collector's watches, which is why they were often worn. Accordingly, only a few specimens have survived in good condition today.
The elegant 36mm stainless steel case of this Carrera is unpolished and has natural signs of wear - a dream condition for every discerning vintage collector. The dial is also in a wonderful collector's condition without scratches and with the original tritium lume. This Carrera has two sub-dials: a small running seconds at 9 o'clock and a 45-minute counter at 3 o'clock.
The serial number of the 74xxx watch, which is relatively late, is engraved between the lugs. We estimate that the watch was made in 1967/1968. The winding crown is signed with the Heuer logo. The reliable Valjoux 92 movement works flawlessly. The chronograph starts, stops and resets properly.
This Heuer Carrera 3647 NT is a rare sporty and elegant vintage chronograph from the 60s.
