What makes this automatic Heuer Carrera 1153 from 1974 so special is the exceptional condition. It's the best example we've had in a long time.

The chronograph comes from the early 1970s. The reference 1153 was produced in a short period between 1969 and 1974. The Heuer Carrera was the legendary sports watch designed for professional drivers and racing car enthusiasts. Hardly any other watch masters the combination of sportiness and elegance as well as the Carrera.

This particular example dates from 1973 and is powered by the automatic caliber 11i. This movement is the improved version of the famous Heuer caliber 11 - one of the first automatic chronograph movements in watch history.

The excellent condition of this Carrera makes it extremely valuable. The case is unpolished and has almost no signs of wear. The panda dial is absolutely flawless. The tritium lume is of course original and 100% intact in all elements. The movement runs perfectly including all chronograph functions.

The dial has a black tachymeter scale up to 200 units per hour. Thanks to the two black sub-dials, the time can be stopped up to 12 hours. The chronograph second hand is orange. The hour markers are wide, making the dial easier to read. The date is at 6 o'clock. The pillow shape of the case ensures a harmonious appearance of the watch.
