Tudor Submariner 7016/0 Creamy Lume

box and papers - rare watch - fantastic look

Description
This Tudor Submariner 7016/0 is a valuable vintage classic from the late 1960s.

In 1946, Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf took over the watch manufacturer Tudor, which was founded in 1926. The close collaboration between these two brands is reflected in the similarity of their vintage watches. This Tudor Submariner 7016/0 is reminiscent of the Rolex Submariner 5512 or 5513.

The watch on offer is from 1969 and is accompanied by the original vintage Tudor box. The original Tudor guarantee from 1971 and other accessories such as a service invoice from 1980 are available.

A nice highlight of this vintage Tudor Submariner is the matt black dial with a remarkable patina in the hour markers. The tritium has evenly aged to a creamy color and creates a very harmonious and warm look. The dial bears the inscription "Oyster Prince" under the brand logo at 12 o'clock and "200m = 660ft", "Submariner", "Rotor" and "Self-Winding" at 6 o'clock. The hands have the iconic Mercedes design.

The Oyster stainless steel case has a thick profile and is overall in a great and collectible condition. The crown is signed by the Rolex logo and the case back shows "Original Oyster Case By Rolex Geneva". The black diver's bezel is also preserved in great condition and has hardly any signs of wear. The heart of this Tudor Submariner is the automatic caliber ETA 2483. The movement operates perfectly keeping precisely time.

The Oyster bracelet reference 93150 bears the Rolex signature and is in great overall condition. The end links reference is 580. Code in the clasp is V9.

This Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner has the most important features of a valuable collector's watch: it is rare, it has been preserved in excellent condition and it offers a unique charm on the wrist thanks to its natural patina.
