This beautiful automatic Heuer Autavia 1163 dates from the 1970s and is accompanied by original papers.
The beautiful reverse panda dial is absolutely flawlessly preserved. The red accents on the black surface look very stylish. The watch has two white sub-dials: a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour totalizer at 9 o'clock. Both sub-registers show a nice even patina. The date window is at 6 o'clock. Every single tritium plot behind the hour markers is original and intact. The pillow-shaped stainless steel case shows sharp edges and looks unpolished. The bezel is rotatable to both sides and shows the hours and minutes, which is why the full reference of this model is 1163MH. The few natural signs of wear give the watch an honest look.
An original Gay-Frères Beads-Of-Rice stainless steel bracelet completes the offer. The clasp is stamped 3/69 (third quarter 1969). The Autavia is powered by the legendary automatic chronograph caliber 12, which Heuer developed in collaboration with Breitling, Hamilton, Dubois-Depraz and Buren. The movement has been checked and operates very accurately and reliably.
Another highlight of this watch is the original guarantee card / booklet from 1971. The watch was sold on May 10th, 1971 in Hamburg, Germany. This extremely rare accessory makes the Autavia even more valuable for vintage collectors.
Overall, this Heuer Autavia 1163 is a classic racing chronograph from the 1970s, which is extremely valuable thanks to its wonderful collector's condition and the original papers.
