Description
The present watch is one of the most important and most collectible timepieces of the 20th century. It is the first execution of the Heuer Autavia GMT 2446 in an astonishing NOS condition. We proudly present this Holy Grail of Heuer watches on our website.

This Heuer GMT is preserved in mint condition, known in vintage circles as NOS (New Old Stock). The case has remained absolutely untouched. We have never seen such perfect lugs on a 1960s Autavia: Absolutely breathtaking. The screwed case back shows crisp engravings.

One of the unique characteristics of this first Heuer GMT version is the red and black Pepsi bezel with even numbers. Their colors differ from all later versions. The bezel shows rich colors and is as good as new.

The reverse panda dial is also absolutely flawless. The tritium lume in all hour markers and hands is original and untouched. The red 24-hour hand has a full lume tip and shows a second time zone on the Pepsi bezel.

The heart of this chronograph is the coveted Valjoux 72 movement, which is equipped with an additional GMT module. Officially, the name of this caliber is Valjoux 724. The timekeeping is precise, the chronograph operates perfectly.

The present watch is accompanied by the original Heuer box and an original hang tag showing the initial retail price: 75500 Italian lira. In addition, this watch comes with an original Gay-Frères bracelet from 1967, which is also as good as new.

Fewer than 10 examples of this Heuer Autavia GMT are known worldwide. It is a historically important wristwatch that has spent most of its lifetime in a safe: A unique opportunity for every vintage collector.
