This rare Rolex GMT Master 16700 is a U series from 1997 that has the green hologram on the bottom and is accompanied by the original full set.

A special feature of this GMT Master are the Luminova indexes on "SWISS T<25" dial. The reference 16700 was introduced in 1989. Until ca. 1997 the watches had a "SWISS T<25" dial with tritium lume and after 1998 "SWISS" dials with Luminova. In the short transition period between 1997 and 1998, Rolex used "SWISS T<25" dials and filled them with Luminova lume. The Rolex GMT Master offered here is one of those rare GMT executions that are in great demand today.

In addition to the special dial configuration, this GMT convinces due to the preserved condition and the original accessories. The green Rolex hologram can still be seen on the case back. The case was slightly overhauled in the past, has a full profile and shows hardly any signs of wear.

The original chronometer certificate is perforated with the serial number U117xxx and the country code 871 (Hawaii). This GMT was sold in Honolulu, Hawaii. The watch is also accompanied by the following original accessories: green presentation box, outer box, brochure, Rolex calendar 1997-1998, green leather card holder.

The watch comes with the original Oyster stainless steel bracelet, which is very well preserved. Bracelet reference 78790, end links 501B, clasp code Z9 (1997). The watch is powered by the Rolex automatic caliber 3175 with the GMT complication. The red 24-hour hand and the rotating Pepsi bezel allow the time to be read in a second time zone. The black dial is absolutely flawless. The bezel has rich blue and red colors.
