Here we offer you a beautiful vintage pilot's watch from 1970 - Breitling Chronomatic 2115 GMT. The attractive dial color combination, the large case diameter and the legendary Caliber 11 automatic movement are the highlights of this very rare chronograph.
By the mid-twentieth century, Breitling was a leading innovator of high quality chronographs. After creating the first automatic chronograph movement in 1969, Breitling named the new product line: Chrono-Matic. These watches had an original and distinctive look following the 70s style. This particular Breitling Chronomatic 2115 GMT is a perfect example of that era. The GMT complication allows time displaying in two different time zones simultaneously.
The dial features a colorful hands configuration with orange hands (hour, minute and chronograph) and a yellow GMT hand. The rotating, 24-hour inner bezel has a lighter (day) and a darker (night) hue. The luminous material in the hour markers and hands is original and intact. The black dial surface is perfect. The sub-dials have aged to a creamy patina.
The large 46mm stainless steel case of this Breitling Chronomatic is in a great, authentic condition with few signs of usage. On the case back the reference number 2115 and the serial number 1.345.xxx are engraved and clearly legible. The crown is signed with the Breitling logo. The date window at 6 o'clock features red numerals.
The automatic caliber movement with a GMT module gets the watch up and running. The movement has been checked and works perfectly.
The watch is accompanied by the following original accessories:
- box
- warranty certificate, stamped with the reference number 2115
- Booklet / manual
- additional racing leather strap.
On the wrist, this Breitling Chronomatic looks cool and sporty. From the collector's point of view, this is a rare and desirable vintage watch.
