This 1970 Rolex Datejust has a rare reference 1600F and is preserved in a wonderful overall condition.
The unusual Datejust Reference 1600F remains a mystery. However, a trend can be observed based on the serial numbers of the watches known so far. Most of the watches with the reference 1600F belong to the last production series of the four-digit Datejust, before the five-digit reference with quick-set date was introduced in 1977/78.
This Datejust has an elegant silver dial and a smooth bezel. The fine-looking step dial features a perfectly preserved sunburst finish. The extra-long hour markers have black inlays and every single tritium dot is original and intact. The creamy color of the luminous material in the tritium plots match perfectly the color of the hands.
The stainless-steel oyster case is in great condition and shows no scratches worth mentioning. The automatic movement caliber 1570 is extremely reliable and keeps time very good. The watch is accompanied by a Rolex Jubilee bracelet with the reference 62510H. The clasp code is W11. Accordingly, the bracelet dates from 1995.
With its perfect case proportions and a simple dial, the Datejust has become the epitome of the elegant wristwatch. Here you have the chance to acquire an unusual version of the Rolex Datejust in great collector's condition.
