The Universal Genève Aero-Compax is a vintage pilot's watch from the 1960s with a 24-hour dial. Here we offer you the first series Aero-Compax reference 890101/01.

The beautiful white 24-hour dial is housed in the large 41mm case. The dial is not divided into 12 but into 24 hours. The hour hand does not make two, but only one rotation in 24 hours. This feature was particularly useful for pilots on intercontinental flights. The question: "Is it 6 am or 6 pm?" can be answered immediately with a look at the Aero-Compax. In addition, the time can be read in a second time zone thanks to the rotating 24-hour bezel. The 15-minute counter at 3 o'clock is another special feature of this pilot's watch. The duration of 15 minutes comes from aviation: this is how long the inspection of the aircraft takes before it is allowed to take off. An additional 12-hour totalizer is located at 6 o'clock.

Overall, the watch is in a completely original and honest condition. The rotating bezel is lightly faded and gives it a beautiful vintage look. The white dial has a smooth creamy patina. The tritium lume in the hands and markers is original and intact. The stainless steel case has been worn and shows evenly distributed scratches.
