SoldThe Cartier Tank Obus was presented in 1929. Compared to other watches from the Tank series, the Obus is the only model to have a square shape, whereas other Tank watches are rectangular. In addition, the Cartier Tank Obus offers other striking features that make this small but fine watch unique. The most striking element of this vintage watch is the wide bezel with its large Roman numerals. The combination of the yellow gold case and the blue color of the hour numerals on the bezel creates a nice contrast and looks classy. In addition, a square minute track surrounds the cream-colored dial. The two hands are metallic blue and the dial is signed "Cartier" and "Paris". The case lugs look like small bullets.
This Cartier Tank Obus is a valuable collector's watch also due to its excellent condition. Only a few signs of wear and deep engravings on the back indicate that the watch was rarely worn on the wrist and probably stayed unpolished. The case is made of 18 carat yellow gold and has the dimensions 25x25mm. On the case back you can see the gold hallmarks and the serial number of the watch.
