This gorgeous set includes a Rolex Big Red Daytona 6265 from 1985 which comes from its first owner.

In the world of watch collecting, the early manual-wound Rolex Daytona powered by the Valjoux 72 caliber is one of the most coveted chronographs. Despite steadily increasing prices of this iconic timepiece, many Daytona owners do not want to sell their beautiful piece because they are proud to own it.

Here you see the reference 6265 with screwed chrono pushers, panda dial and steel bezel. Not only the fantastic overall condition, but also the original accessories from 1985 make this Daytona so special and collectible. The Big Red dial with red Daytona print, which we can find on dials after 75/76, is beloved by collectors. Before 1975 Sigma-dials without the red lettering were used. The dial of this example is absolutely clean and has original tritium lume in hands and markers. Every single lume dot is intact.

A greatly preserved stainless steel case with a full profile and sharp lugs proves that this Daytona was rarely on the wrist. It has probably never been polished, or at most very lightly. The steel bezel and the Oyster bracelet also show only a few signs of wear. The clasp bears the code I8 matching the production year of the watch.

As can be seen from the chronometer certificate, this Daytona 6265 was sold to its first owner on October 18, 1985 in Badajoz, Spain. The watch is accompanied by other original accessories: two booklets in Spanish, calendar 1986/87, leather card holder, presentation box and outer carton.

This 100% authentic vintage Rolex Daytona 6265 is an iconic chronograph and a rare find that will be very difficult to replace.
