Description
This Omega Seamaster 300 reference 165024 from 1966 has everything you would expect from a collectible vintage watch.

Designed for professional and amateur divers, the first Omega Seamaster 300 was presented in 1957. Thanks to its robustness, precision and reliability, it soon became one of the favorite watches of many divers. Today it is one of the absolute vintage classics.

This Seamaster 300 dates from 1966 and is in a condition highly appreciated by discerning vintage collectors: worn but unpolished. The few signs of wear can be rated as minimal considering the old age of almost 60 years. Much more important is whether the case has undergone a polish, which changes the shape and profile. We can say with certainty that the case of this watch has never been polished. The most important signs for that are the sharp lugs, the sharp bezel and the deep engravings on the case back.

The dial is in impressive condition. The black surface is free of stains and scratches. The large hour markers have aged absolutely evenly, showing a patina that is consistent throughout the hands and even on the bezel. The set of hands consists of the sword hour hand, baton-shaped minute hand and a diamond-tipped second hand. The wide bakelite bezel is superbly preserved and features a tritium triangle and tritium hour markers. The minute markers are without luminous material, as it should be.

The original acrylic crystal of this Omega Seamaster 300 has the small Omega logo in its center. Over time, it is common for the crystal to develop fine cracks as it hardens. These cracks are also present in the present acrylic crystal, which indicates its originality.

Last but not least, this Omega Seamaster 300 is accompanied by the original Omega steel bracelet with the reference 1171. The bracelet has complete links and is in the same condition as the watch. The end links are stamped 633.

The Seamaster 300 is powered by the Omega automatic caliber 552, which has been checked and runs reliably.

If you have been looking for a fully original Seamaster 300, which on top of that has to have an unpolished case and a perfect dial, then this is an extremely rare opportunity to end your search and acquire this gorgeous vintage Seamaster.
