SoldThe watch dates from 1998 and is therefore one of the last five-digit Datejust references, which were replaced by six-digit references in 2000.
An attractive look is created thanks to the blue sun-burst dial featuring large Roman numerals. Depending on the angle at which you look at the watch, the dial takes on different shades of blue, which has an almost magical effect. Thanks to the smooth steel bezel, this 36mm Datejust even looks a little larger on the wrist.
This Datejust 16200 is accompanied by the original Rolex certificate with a punched serial number (U915xxx) and country code 170 (Italy). It was sold in Bergamo, Italy in December 1999. There is also a Rolex presentation box and the outer carton.
Condition report
Dial: immaculate condition, intact sub-burst finish, signed "swiss made".
Case: stainless steel case in great condition, hardly any signs of wear, full profile, visible numbers between the lugs.
Movement: Rolex automatic caliber 3135 runs precisely and reliably, quickset date, hacking seconds, timegrapher +/-3 s/d.
Bracelet: Rolex Oyster bracelet with natural signs of wear, little stretch, reference 78360, end links 558B, clasp code U10.
