Hamilton Chrono-Matic Fontainebleau 11001-3 Unpolished

clean dial - unpolished case - original leather strap

Description
"American Spirit and Swiss Precision" was the label of the Hamilton company, which has its roots in the USA. And this Chronomatic Fontainebleau from the 1970s pretty much reflects that: the Swiss precision of the famous caliber 11 and a bold American retro design.

This chronograph has an extravagant case shape and is unpolished. Few signs of wear on the case indicate that the watch was rarely worn. The retro dial has a flawless silver surface and intact tritium lume in all hour markers and hands.

At the heart of this watch is Caliber 11, one of the first automatic chronograph movements ever produced. The automatic chronographs from Heuer and Breitling from this period were also equipped with this movement.

A special thing of this example is the original 70s black leather strap stamped inside with Hamilton logo. The leather strap is another indication that the watch was very rarely on the wrist, because the leather straps wear out after a relatively short time.

This Hamilton Fontainebleau 11001-3 is a rare and unusual vintage chronograph with a cool retro design and iconic movement.
