Jaeger-LeCoultre 2648-42 Doctor Pulso

Valjoux 72 - extremely rare - large diameter

Description
This Jaeger-LeCoultre Chrono is a vintage timepiece to fall in love with: large 43mm diameter, breathtaking dial, original stainless steel bracelet, Valjoux 72 movement: characteristics that make the hearts of most vintage collectors beat faster. Considering that only about 200 examples of this watch were produced, as is assumed by collectors, then this is an extremely rare piece.

Founded in 1833 in Vallée de Joux in Switzerland, the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand, initially called LeCoultre, is one of the oldest watch manufacturers in the world. The watches produced by JLC in the 20th century are now very rare and enjoy a unique reputation among vintage collectors.

A popular and extremely rare chronograph from the early 1970s is the Jaeger-LeCoultre reference 2648-42 offered here with an extravagant dial that is housed in a large 43mm stainless steel case and protected by an acrylic crystal. The dark blue and white color combination is rich in contrast and looks just fantastic. The orange tachymeter scale on the blue background is also striking. More orange accents are in the central chrono hand and in the hands of the sub-dials. The chronograph also has a white pulsation scale.

The watch is powered by the coveted manual-wound Valjoux 72 movement, which was also the heart of the legendary Rolex Daytona.

The chronograph is accompanied by its original vintage stainless steel bracelet. Back then, these bracelets were specially made for this chronograph line by the company NSA. The folding clasp bears the Jaeger-LeCoultre logo.
