This excellently preserved yellow gold Rolex Day-Date 1803 from 1972 features a special Wideboy dial and is accompanied by original accessories.
The Rolex Day-Date, with its famous weekday aperture at 12 o'clock, is Rolex's elegant and prestigious wristwatch, housed exclusively in precious metals since 1956. It was the first wristwatch with such a weekday complication. The Day-Date is nicknamed the President Watch due to the fact that John F. Kennedy owned this model.
Here you can see a really impressive example from 1972. Not only is this Day-Date in top condition, it is also accompanied by original punched papers and the original Rolex box.
A special feature of this Day-Date is its wide hour markers, which are also known from a Datejust Wideboy. The gold hour markers with a creamy inlay on the silver sunburst dial give the watch a very warm and harmonious look. The day of the week display is in Italian. The watch is accompanied by the original yellow gold President bracelet.
