Orfina Porsche Design Chronograph 7176 NOS
Lemania 5100 - mint condition - creamy lume
SoldFerdinand Porsche not only designed the legendary sports car Porsche 911, but also the iconic chronograph you see here. The dial design is reminiscent of the instruments of the legendary 911 sports car, which is why the racing chrono is known among collectors as the "tachymeter on the wrist". When the watch was spotted on Tom Cruise's wrist in the 1986 movie Top Gun, the chronograph achieved its definitive cult status.
In 1972 the first version powered by the Valjoux 7750 caliber was produced. Around 1975 version with the Lemania 5100 caliber was presented, that was recognizable by the central white lollipop minute chrono hand and the 24-hour day/night indicator at 12 o'clock. The Valjoux chrono, on the other hand, featured a 30-minute counter at 12 o'clock.
This Orfina Porsche Design reference 7176 from 1976 is preserved in mint condition. Not to be overlooked is the perfectly preserved original PVD coating on the case and bracelet. On most (still preserved) watches the vulnerable coating shows signs of wear on the case and inside of the bracelet. The dial of this watch is absolutely untouched and flawless.
In addition to the chronograph features, the watch has a date and weekday display in Italian. Thanks to the quick set mechanism, the date and day of the week can be set instantly.

Dial: mint, original tritium lume with creamy patina, signed "SWISS MADE".
Case: mint, fully intact PVD coating, sharp lugs, sticker on the back, original winding crown with Orfina logo.
Movement: Automatic caliber Lemania 5100 in great condition.
Bracelet: mint, excellently preserved PVD coating, the clasp still offers resistance when you try to fold it, clasp signed with the Orfina logo.

This cult chronograph is very rare. And due to its mint condition it is irretrievable.
