With a total of 5000 pieces made in the 1970s, this exceptional Zenith Chrono is very rare.
The El Primero reference 01-0200-415 was presented in 1972. The watch was equipped with the EL Primero caliber 3019PHC, manufactured in 1969. It was one of the first and most accurate chronograph movements in the world. Production of this watch ended in 1978. A total of about 5000 pieces were made. Even fewer have survived in good condition.
Due to its shape, this chronograph is also called "TV Screen". The rectangular case measures approx. 42x43mm (including the crown). The large chronograph pushers, which also serve as crown protection, are pretty special.
Mineral glass protects the blue dial with white markings and lettering. The sub-dials are surrounded by silver-colored rings and offer a running seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o'clock and a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock. The date window is between 4 and 5 o'clock. A tachymeter scale up to 500 hours is attached to a sloping inner bezel.
The chronograph is equipped with an original integrated stainless steel bracelet from the 1970s.
